Where can I scrap my metal?
At PDQ Recycling, we accept scrap metal and offer cash for your items. While most garbage and recycling companies accept basic materials like aluminum and steel cans and copper, some cities may offer bulky waste pick-up for other metals. However, bring your scrap metal products to us, and we’ll evaluate them on the spot. We’ll provide you with a cash payment based on the value of your metal.
Why should I scrap my metal?
Scrapping your metals is a sustainable practice. By recycling metal, we reduce the need to mine for virgin metals like iron or coal. This helps to preserve our natural resources. Recycling metal lowers the number of greenhouse gasses released into the atmosphere compared to the mining and processing of new metals.
Are there any materials you do not accept for recycling?
Yes. The list of materials we do not accept include catalytic converters, glass, plastic, tires, TV’s and wood.
How much will I receive from you for my metals?
The amount of cash you receive from us will depend on the evaluation of the materials donated.
What is the difference between ferrous and non-ferrous metals?
Ferrous metals contain iron and non-ferrous metals do not. Non-ferrous metals are more rare and resistant to corrosion than their ferrous counterparts. However, both types of metals can be recycled.
Where are you located?
PDQ Recycling is a family-owned business located in Odessa, Texas. We have years of experience running commercial salvage operations.
Do you accept materials other than scrap metal?
Yes, we also accept appliances. In addition to scrap metal, we also accept appliances such as washers, dryers, stoves, refrigerators, and dishwashers. We also accept vehicles, provided that a title is included.
What do I need to bring with me to the facility?
If you are a first time customer with us, please bring a valid government-issued ID or driver’s license.
Do I need to separate my scrap metal load?
While it’s not required, separating your scrap materials into different types can be beneficial. When you bring in a mixed load, it can be challenging for us to identify and evaluate each type of material accurately. This may lead to a lower payout, especially for higher-value metals like uncoated copper scrap that might be overlooked.
